This course is aimed at supervisors in the retail automotive industry. Participants are either currently employed in the role of sales manager, parts manager, service manager or are aspiring to the role.
They will develop practical insights and skills in leadership, management, motivation and team building to help them achieve business goals, improve productivity, build effective teams and foster entrepreneurship. These courses are specifically structured to ensure that projects undertaken by participants incorporate their usual work practices with the aim of improving productivity and profitability.
Purpose
The Certificate IV in Frontline Management applies to people who would normally be expected to be assessed as having competencies in frontline management with more independence and decision-making under the following conditions:
You are autonomous, working under general guidance from others.
You may supervise others, give direction and lead teams.
You have responsibility for and limited organisation of work of others.
You apply knowledge with depth and a range of skills to a range of roles as well as operate in a variety of workplace contexts.
You are involved in some complexity of decisions and use competencies within routines, methods and procedures, and use some discretion and judgment for self and others in using resources, services and processes to achieve outcomes.

Prerequisites
There are no formal entry requirements for the Certificate IV in Frontline Management, however it is ideal if the participant has access to a workplace where they can practice the skills they are learning throughout the course.
Award
A nationally accredited 'Statement of Attainment' is issued upon successful completion of all units.
Assessment
Assessment will be by way of course attendance and successful completion of projects and assignments. The projects and assignments must demonstrate implementation of concepts and processes that have been discussed during the program, and evidence must be forwarded regarding the success of this implementation.
Duration
The expected duration of the course is up to twentyfour months, with participants attending a workshop once every 4-5 weeks.
