Description

This course is aimed at Business Managers in the automotive industry. Participants are either currently employed in the role of Business Manager (F&I) or are aspiring to the role.

They will develop practical insights and skills in leadership, management, motivation and team building to help them achieve their goals, improve productivity, build effective teams and increase penetration of financial and insurance products and achieve better referral rates. These courses are specifically structured to ensure that projects undertaken by participants incorporate their usual work practices with the aim of improving productivity and profitability.

Purpose

The Certificate IV in Financial Services applies to people who would normally be expected to be assessed as having competencies in financial services with more independence and decision-making under the following conditions:

  • You are autonomous, working under general guidance from others.
  • You may consult with others, give direction and lead by example.
  • You have responsibility for and limited organisation of work of others.
  • You apply knowledge with depth and a range of skills to a range of roles as well as operate in a variety of workplace contexts.
  • You are involved in some complexity with assisting clients and presenting products in line with the diverse needs of the clients and offer general advice to establish products that could be considered as suitable for the clients, whilst maintaining ASIC guide lines in conjunction with FSRA accreditation Tier II outcomes.

By the end of this course, participants will be able to:

  • Plan own work schedules, monitor and obtain feedback on work performance and developments
  • Develop and maintain positive relationships in internal and external environments so that customers and the organisation achieve planned outputs/outcomes.
  • Assist with the development of a team in the business and sales environment by fostering teamwork, goals and plans and providing backup.
  • Implement, monitor and record performance to achieve the business plans of the team/organisation.
  • Implement and monitor the organisations OHS policies, procedures and programmes in the relevant work area to meet legislative requirements.
  • Manage the continuous improvement process in achieving the organisations objectives.
  • Display skills and knowledge to promote the use and implementation of innovative work practices to effect change.

Prerequisites

There are no formal entry requirements for the Certificate IV in Financial Services, however it is ideal if the participant has access to a workplace where they can practice the skills they are learning throughout the course, plus obtain the appropriate FSRA Tier II requirements, prior to presenting products to clients.

Award

A nationally accredited 'Statement of Attainment' is issued upon successful completion of all units.

 

Assessment

Assessment will be by way of course attendance and successful completion of projects and assignments. The projects and assignments must demonstrate implementation of concepts and processes that have been discussed during the programme, and evidence must be forwarded regarding the success of this implementation.

Duration

The expected during of the course thirty six months, with participants attending a workshop once every 4-8 weeks. Most modules are available on line via our training web site.
